  • VIDEOS: Promoting courses at the University of York

    I produced short videos promoting new degrees for the University of York departments of Economics, Sociology, and Law. I helped the participants to relax and enjoy the filming, and the outputs are excellent … all within tight budgets.

  • WORKSHOP: What's Your Story? communication skills

    The Prostate Cancer Research network needed a workshop on storytelling for their Researcher Away Day. I designed a two-hour session focussed on identifying the essence of their stories, and presenting their ideas in simple and compelling ways.

  • PODCAST: Potential, A Physics Careers Podcast

    WRIPA wanted a series of five podcast episodes for undergraduate physics students about navigating the ups and downs of finding a career. I produced the series, from conducting interviews and finding themes and narratives, to artwork and audio design.

  • MOOC: Frontier Physics, Future Technologies

    The Physics Department, University of York, needed a series of short, engaging videos for a new online course. I produced 22 promos, interviews and animated explainers, across a diverse range of themes in modern physics.

  • VIDEOS: Artificial Intelligence Explainers

    Education Services Australia needed a series of four explainer videos on AI and machine learning for school students. I produced the animated videos, creating a valued resource for teachers, parents and students.

  • VIDEOS: Binding Blocks Masterclass

    Binding Blocks, a UK-wide nuclear physics outreach programme, needed videos for their online Master Class. I created a wide range of animated explainers and interviews, including on-site overviews of the amazing Boulby Underground Laboratory.

    I can tailor a programme to your needs, to provide valuable experience with storytelling, writing, presenting, and turning research into policy — fine-tuned to build confidence and hone skills.

  • I'm a talented and engaging presenter, interviewer, MC and event host, whether it's Science-in-the-Pub style live events, hosting public talks, inspiring school students with fun science shows, or wrapping up a conference dinner with some science cabaret.

    I've told jokes about quantum physics, sung songs about global warming, spun stories about science in the era of Fake News, enthralled pre-school kids in remote Australian towns, and interviewed Nobel laureates about receiving that call from Sweden.

    Whatever your event entails, I can keep things flowing, raise the energy, manage the Q&A, and inject a sense of fun and style.
